Certificate Program in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Balance Therapy
From Assessment to Recovery: Evidence-Based Vestibular Rehabilitation in Clinical Practice
A focused, practice-oriented hybrid program designed for physiotherapists and rehabilitation clinicians involved in managing dizziness, imbalance and vestibular disorders.
The program takes participants through the complete rehabilitation pathway — assessment → clinical reasoning → exercise selection → progression → outcome measurement → return to function — culminating in an intensive 3-day hands-on workshop focused on practical skills and real-world case management.

Course Outcomes
By the end of the program, participants should be able to:
-
Identify patients who are likely to benefit from vestibular rehabilitation and recognise when reassessment or referral is required.
-
Perform a rehabilitation-focused vestibular, balance, gait and functional assessment.
-
Assess and treat common BPPV variants using appropriate positional tests and repositioning manoeuvres.
-
Design and progress individualised rehabilitation programs for unilateral and bilateral vestibular hypofunction.
-
Adapt rehabilitation for PPPD, visual motion sensitivity, vestibular migraine, post-concussion dizziness and age-related imbalance.
-
Prescribe gaze-stabilisation, habituation, balance, gait, sensory-reweighting, conditioning and functional exercises appropriately.
-
Use vestibular investigation findings pragmatically to guide rehabilitation planning.
-
Select and interpret appropriate outcome measures to guide progression and discharge.
-
Design practical home exercise programs that encourage adherence, independence and return to meaningful activity.
